Today we will talk about a little-known, but very intriguing museum, which is located in Amsterdam next to the City Museum. Of course it is diamond museum (sometimes called the Diamond Museum), created by the largest diamond processing and sales company - Coster Diamonds. It should be noted that the company has existed since 1840, so visiting the museum should be interesting.

Amsterdam has long been considered the leading city for the processing of diamonds. Today, only New York and London can compete with him.

Let's move on to the museum exposition. First, you will be shown a short video clip in which topics on diamond mining and processing will be highlighted. And this is very correct, because before you get acquainted with the museum's exposition, you need to have at least some minimal knowledge about diamonds. The film is shown in two languages: English and Dutch. If you are a Russian tourist and do not know a foreign language (the way it is for sure ), you can ask the museum staff for a written translation of the film. By the way, translation is available in 25 languages.

In addition to the most beautiful, uniquely made diamonds, in the museum you will find various data on how to properly produce diamond, how to properly process it to make a beautiful stone. You will also find out why some stones are more expensive than others, and some are for sale at all. Not all jewelry in the museum is original. Basically, these are copies of famous stones, but they are made, we must pay tribute to the founders of the museum, at a very high level. Each decoration can be examined closer, learn about it detailed information using multimedia tools.

The museum is open every day from 9 00 to 17 00. Tickets are inexpensive (from 4 to 6 euros), discounts for students and pensioners. Children under 12 admission is free. I am sure you will be satisfied with the visit, especially the girls
