Italian Morning, Bryullov, 1823

Italian Morning, Bryullov, 1823

Italian morning - Karl Pavlovich Bryullov. 62x65

The work is filled with tenderness, trembling innocence, refined beauty. The southern, delicate sun caresses the back of the heroine, chastely shading her young chest and face. Reflecting from a stream of fountain water, the light emphasizes the face of the heroine: a classic nose, full lips, half-closed eyelids with black eyelashes, under which black southern eyes can hardly be guessed. The heroine is focused on morning wash. The author remains invisible to her.

The dark background of the picture, a special light allows the audience to see the heroine in all the subtleties without being distracted by the unnecessary details of the surroundings. The heroine emits special warmth, the girl is full of soft charm, natural beauty.

The author managed to achieve amazingly reliable color combinations, brilliantly convey the texture of water, dark skin. Details, in the form of a simple earring in the girl’s ear, make her image attractive and cute.
